Description: Appears to be a Post Civil War (1870s on) sword used by southern state militias. This sword is modeled on post-Civil War US cavalry officer weapons, but without US insignias. Overall length 41 inches, curved fullered blade 35 inches. The hilt is brass with wire wrapped leather covered grip, heavily worn. Scabbard is also well used with dents, but sword fits perfectly.
