Description: Plutarch Lives 1888 - 5 Volumes (A Complete set ) Dryden Translation with corrections by Clough - 3/4 Leather with marbled covers and pageblocks. Good + (VG for the age). I only found one other set (like this one) online and it was more expensive and in worse shape. Two of the volumes have a crack betwen the front pastedown and the the first page, but these books have a sewn binding so there is no break or any hint of the binding coming apart. Leather does have some wear around the edges and a few tears. (The last photo shows the worst tear I could find.) Pages are unmarked, no names or writing that I found. A classic work in a rare, vintage set. Will ship priority. If you have questions or need more photos just ask.
