Also included are two 1/4" Cubes (.17 oz each) for a total weight of 4.04 oz +/- tolerance. The slot allows for several features: Allows for weight adjustment from 3.70 oz to approximately 4.04 oz in .17 oz increments using the 2 included 1/4" Cubes. (Cubes are approximately .17 oz each)Allows for Tungsten Putty in the slot for smaller weight adjustments. The Slots allow clearance for the axles so the weight can be mounted as low as you want. They are designed to keep the weight or COM (Center of Mass) highly concentrated which helps reduce Rotational Inertia when the car transitions on the curve from the ramp to the flat. Cars with the weight concentrated to the COM (Center of Mass) in the car are faster than cars with the weight more spread out. Think of it in terms of a Figure skater doing a spin on the ice. When they are spinning with their arms out (weight spread out) they are spinning slower than when they bring their arms in closer to their body (Concentrating their weight) and they are able to spin faster! High Performance Black Domed Slotted Discs are a concentrated weight designed to be installed by simply locating where you want to place the weight (Center of Mass) in the car, (Typically the slot aligns with the axles, see attached pics) drill a 1" diameter hole, glue the Disc in place and you are ready to race! (Accommodates car bodies as little as 1/4" thick or thicker) Our Tungsten Domed Slotted Discs are easy to install! Drill a 1" Diameter Hole then Glue into your car. (Super Glue or Epoxy works best) Drill a 1" diameter hole and glue the disc into the car body. (Spade bit or Forstner Bit)Discs are 1" Diameter x 5/8" total height. (The Dome is 1/4" high and the sides are 3/8" high) (For Cars thicker than 1/4 inch you would only need to drill the hole approximately 1/4" - 3/8" deep) The only part showing above the top side of the car is the Aerodynamic Black Dome.
