Description: For auction is a lovely piece of art glass made by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The shape is a very large vase and is known as "The Dancing Nudes" vase. The vase is impressive as it measures 11 3/4" tall and is 9 1/4" in diameter. The top opening has a diameter of 5" outside measurement with the base or bottom having a diameter of 5 1/4". This vase displays a wonderful milky white base glass with a stain glass finish that is accented with raised relief or sculptured nudes dancing with a Satyr playing the flute. The pattern of this vase is known as "The Dancing Nudes" or "Nymphs" and even the "Satyr" vase amongst the Consolidated collectors. The vase is 4 color as the nudes are done in a wonderful 2 toned beige colored treatment with blue scarfs on a white background. The vase has an Art Deco appeal as you can see the influence of Lalique Glass in this and many other early pieces produced by this company. This vase was designed by Kenneth and Reuben Haley and was part of Consolidated's Martele Line. Reuben Haley who was known as one of the best glass designers in the country. He was not only a glass master but also a sculptor and metal worker. He would mold his design from clay first and then produce it in glass and was the creator of the Ruba Rombic and Martele Line as well. The Muncie Pottery Company is also known for its' Ruba Rombic line which was also designed by Reuben Haley. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The vase is unsigned but guaranteed to be vintage Consolidated Glass. There is also the typical round mold mark on the bottom of the vase. This vase is just outstanding in every way. You just don't find them this clean with absolutely no damage what so ever!! The Dancing Nudes vase was part of Phoenix/Consolidated's Martele Line in their catalog. This line was created to compete against Rene Lalique's glass that was so popular in the states at the same time period. This vase was made circa 1926-1928. This is a very large vase and it will be shipped via UPS (United Parcel Service)!! PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
