Description: WWII Emergency / Guerrilla 10 Centavos note from the Philippines. It was issued by "Authority of the President of the Philippines" in Negros Occidental after the Japanese invaded. This is series of 1942. The note states "The Commonwealth of the Philippines will pay to the bearer on demand TEN CENTAVOS in lawful currency of the Philippines". These notes were used by the US and Philippine guerrillas who were fighting the Japanese. This note is in decent condition, with small edge tears on 3 sides and a 0.5 cm edge tear on the lower left side. For a note issued in war time, while the Philippines was occupied by the Japanese, this note is in pretty good shape. The serial number, 27111, is from a printing of 100,500 notes. Please take a look at the photos to see for yourself. I am listing other Philippine, Guerrilla, and JIM notes.
