Here is a wonderful autograph of the late, great ground-breaking TV talk show host PHIL DONAHUE. The book is the 1979 HB/DJ AUTOBIOGRAPHY entitled DONAHUE: MY OWN STORY. Please note: This book was purchased by us from the estate of a medical doctor and longtime autograph collector. The doctor's family stated that he collected the vast majority of his collection IN PERSON, although this book appears to have been a gift to the doctor from his sister and brother-in-law (inscription in the lower right corner of the front overleaf page). The book has been boldly signed in blue Sharpie on the book's second overleaf page "To D.L. Goodnight Best Wishes Phil Donahue". Sadly, there are "issues" with the book including "foxing" to the top edges (not the inside pages!) of the top of the book, some wear to the edges and spine of the dust jacket and, it appears, that the book may hay been displayed on a bookshelf without the dust jacket as there is some "fading" and discoloration to the hardback covers and spine (please see our photos). Although the autograph is perfect and the inside pages are very clean, due to the listed issues, the book is priced accordingly. A chance to own a rare and hard to obtain item that is the real deal.
