Of course, it all goes horribly wrong--or right, depending on how you like your Pets: no band has ever had a better grasp on the sadness at the heart of disco, and the best tracks on Bilingual, from "Red Letter Day" to "Discoteca", sound like a man in an incredibly expensive suit having a nervous breakdown on the dancefloor, yet not spilling his champagne as he boogies.
