The number 76 D24 (chassis #00005) was piloted by Piero Taruffi to victory in the 1954 Targa Florio. Lancia was celebrated as a featured marque at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, with 17 significant Lancias on the show field, ranging from a rare 1953 Lancia Aurelia B20 rally car to one of the oldest Lancias on record, a 1908 12hp Alpha, and of course, the original Lancia Stratos HF Prototype Bertone Coupe, which debuted at the 1971 Turin Auto Show.
