The proud new vessel transported vital supplies to overseas US andAllied Forces during WW II. The ship was named for Panama and was part of a groupof 32 Victory Ships that were named for Allied Nations in WW II. Cover frankedwith 42 cent flag stamp, and a 3 cent Merchant Marine stamp # 939 from 1946. The cover was prepared on a un-gummed, archive quality envelope.
