This ensures a perfect material for you to create your knife handle. Micarta is famous for having a variety of excellent properties - it is waterproof, colourfast & incredibly dense ensuring that the scales will not swell or warp with a variety of temperatures and humidity. Superior quality that is durable whilst offering a fantastic pattern. The first image shows the scale after sanding and polishing to show you the contrast of the scales.
