Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a pair of beautiful vintage Muech - Carey Co. "Floret" Sterling Silver compotes #564 with engraved floral band on pedestal stem and weighted base for stability. Measures 4 1/4" high with a 6 3/8" diameter top and a 3 1/4" diameter base. Combined weight of 510 grams. These lovely compotes are decorated with an elegant embossed floral design in a band around bottom of the pedestal base. No monograms. The silver is in very good to excellent Estate condition with significant flaws reflecting only minor signs of normal wear. There is one very faint small crease in the silver on the base of one compote that is barely noticed but mentioned for accuracy. Marked on base with the trademark stamp of the Muech - Casey Co. in business in New York NY during the 1940's-50's and "Sterling, Reinforced with Cement, 564, Floret". The company is believed to have been absorbed into the Towle Company. Although this is not one of the better known silver manufacturer's, the quality of these compotes is exceptional.
