In the stylized model form of the Egyptian Sphinx. Featuring the Sphinx head with the striker or ''knocker on each which is hinged. A feature that stands out is the casting detail to the face which is exceptional. Origin from England. So impressive & collectible. Made from cast bronze with partial original copper brown coloured paint remaining. A cute size being 16 cm in length and 9 cm wide and 5 cm in depth. They are so well cast and beautifully made to last a lifetime and beyond. Made from bronze With beautiful old antique original aged weathered patina. Circa 19th century. Provenance from the architectural historic building Main Bolton post office front doors in Deansgate which finally closed for good in 2018. A great gift. Condition report. Having beautiful natural aged charming old patina with various gilt fading loss. Offered in fine old used worn condition. No fixing screw bolts are not included and you would need to get these in order to fit the knockers to your door.
