This compote is terrific for rolls, nuts, or even a candy dish. The colors are a sharp gold and pink. The gold flowers in the circle are raised. The plate is vintage, and the gold is worn. My research shows that this style compote is made by Ovington Brothers, England. This type of compote is known to have many different landscapes, this one has a lovely castle, boat, water and a lady painted on it. The bottom of the plate, last picture, has 1928 painted on it. It is only a few years from being an antique. The plate is 9" in diameter x 2-1/4" high. It is pre-owned, no chips or cracks. Please check out all of the pictures for more details.
