I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. This will make a very fine gallery quality item, definitely make a beautiful presentation knife or gun. It is difficult to find quality highly figured exotic hardwoods like this anymore, and I think it might also be the last of the species that I have to cut up. The coloration, contrast and curly grain configuration is outstanding. This stuff is hard and stable, dried for well over a decade indoors. Gun grip blanks, craft wood, micro lumber, box wood, etc. Please note that the color you see on your screen may be different than the color I see on my screen so please ask questions if precise color or shade is important for your project. Photos are of the scales dry, the good side sanded to 220 grit and the backs to 100 grit. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
