Dimensions: 7.8 x 6.5 x 6.4cm, small cabinet. This a unique and gorgeous Kaokoveld Dioptase piece with broad, shallow pockets completely lined with dark, emerald green, brilliantly lustrous Dioptase crystals from 1 to 5mm in size. The Dioptase crystals just line the broad shallow pocket from one side to the other on the piece as well as in tight cracks within the rock. The Dioptase crystals are gemmy to translucent and just sparkle with any incident light. The exterior of the piece is very striking and mottled with a mix of sky-blue Plancheite, dark green Dioptase, pale greenish blue Chrysocolla and grayish-white clay resulting in fantastic contrast. This is an unusual and attractive piece from finds in the early 2000s. It is very colorful, sparkling, and very impactful on a shelf.
