Description: Very Nice & Original 1937 Period ''MILES MOWHAWK'' Aircraft B&W Photographic Postcard, Written & Sent, with its Original King George VI 2D Stamp, Dated Jan. 25th 1942. The postcard was made by 'VALENTINE'S POST CARD'. It has been filled out/written with a message & the recipients address etc., the message on all of the cards always appears to be to a young boy away at school, from various family members including his Mother, Father & Auntie Flo. It has an ink postage mark & stamp from DORKING SURREY dated 25 JAN. 1942 (see photos for more on these details, as well as its condition). Size of postcard 5-1/2" (140mm) x 3-1/2" (89mm), corner knocks, slight ding to bottom left edge, some age browning to the rear commensurate with its age & more so to the edges (NOTE: some of the shadows on the centre of the photos are from my camera & NOT actually on the card), & overall the card is in GC for its age of 81 years old. I have & will be listing many more of these WW2 period postcards of 1930/40's Aircraft & Sea Planes, they all come from the same family/people & nearly all of them are filled out/written on & posted with the original period stamps from KGV & KGVI.
