Interesting detail is that this map works with data from the 1960s - total number of inhabitants of world is 3 billions, inhabitants of socialist states 1 billion, states incorporated in offensive pacts with 650 millions of inhabitants and 1,2 billion of inhabitants in neutral states or in states which are not part of offensive pact.These numbers were valid on 1st April 1963.On this poster we can also see the details - cosmic rocket and universe as the cover of this map - these details refer to another part of the Cold War which was not only the competition in army and field of defense but also in space engineering which is known as space race era - a duel between Soviet Union and United States in exploration and conquest of universe.
