Description: ORIGINAL (NOT REISSUE!!!) 2002 Tom Delonge BLACK Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar purchased new in 2002 at Sam Ashe in White Plains, NY. This is Tom Delonge's (of Blink 182) signature guitar from 2002 with one humbucking pickup, one volume knob and a 1970's large headstock. It has a white and black Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader in the bridge position. The pickups work perfectly but need some tightening. This has been played about 50 times or less and is in great condition. Comes with a Black Fender gig soft case (in excellent condition) and copy of original service contract from Sam Ash Music. While Sam Ash service contract has expired, it does state that there is a lifetime manufacturer's warranty for certain parts. See picture #5 and read details of coverage. Cannot guarantee it is transferable, but it does show proof of what might still be warranted, when purchased and that it was bought new. Also comes with unopened Instructions. Note: There are some very minor scratches on the back of the body in one section about 2-3 inches in size total. These are very small and you might not even notice them if I didn't point this out to you. So minor, they are hard to capture in a photo but in last picture, this area is highlighted. There are also three to 4 extremely small scratches in the Tom Delonghe name plate as shown and highlighted in the last picture. I cannot see unless looked at from a certain angle. Fender just re-issued this guitar with the one difference being the Tom Delonge Signature in the back of the original and the new one are different. That is how you can tell that this is the original model. Again this is the ORIGINAL, and is not to to be confused with the reissue. Serial number also shown in picture #4. Not a retailer or a dealer or estate seller. Just a private seller thinning out things stored and not used. In this case, we bought this guitar for my son (same last name on receipt), who used it very lightly for his own pleasure and not in a band, then I stored it in my pet free, smoke free, climate controlled home for past 20 years and took out only occasionally to check condition and to take pictures now.
