Description: One of a series of 7 paintings that each took years to complete due to the process involved. I would paint one figure at a time, let it dry for a month or more, then add the next figure. All seven pieces were created simultaneously and I would rotate between canvases as the most recently painted figure dried. These were created from live models in different pose where I specifically matched the pose with the painting's theme. My friends gave this series its name, calling it the "Blue Period" after Picasso's Blue Period. I decided to keep that name as this series represents a definite period of my work in a unique style. These paintings represent some of my largest work at 16"x20"; they are all Oil paintings on gallery wrapped canvas and were created from 2016-2018. They are ready to hang and no framing is necessary.
