Description: This is a very old proper and original Civil War Federal Issue Knapsack. I believe it is a very rare double bag now granted not in wonderful condition but how many are it could very well be a museum worthy piece. I'm recently retired and want to start my bucket list traveling and need to make my collection a bit smaller. I have found the bag but haven't found any recently sold. This could make a diehard collector very happy, my thing is clocks and I love to have my stuff go to collectors and good homes and try to price for good value and quick sales. I'll add measurements but really didn't want to handle it too much but measurements I'll get, its big and I certainly at almost 64 wouldn't want to march 30 miles a day in heavy cotton uniform in the summer with this thing full and lugging a Springfield as well. Everything goes insured just in case and my items are returnable. Please respect that and it does take a bit of time, I've been dealing clocks for over 30 years now, but boxes do occasionally get mishandled.
