Each illustration is signed in print and has short description of person, often versed and humorous. Each issue was numbered, this book has nr. 433 - exact number of issued and numbered books was 1000. Total measurements: approx. 28,5x21cm, Condition report: book is overall in worse condition, cover shows damages and it's not stitched together with book, also pages are not stitched together - the original twine is missing, contains totally 21 reproductions of drawings (from 22) - at least ONE PAGE IS MISSING Historical context: Hanus Bohman (1903-1980) lived in Nymburk from the age of ten. A graduate of the local real school and the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in figure painting. Pupil of Jakub Obrovsky, Josef Jindrich Loukota and Vratislav Nechleba. After his studies, he used the pseudonym Hanus. He was painter of portraits, figurative compositions, caricatures of important personalities. Hanus Bohman also devoted himself to landscape painting. He accompanied several books with his illustrations, including poems by the decadent poet Jan Z Wojkowicz. Hanus Bohman lived permanently in Nymburk, where he was an important patron of culture and art. In 1998, he was named an honorary citizen of the city. In 2010, a commemorative plaque was unveiled on the house where he lived (Tylova Street nr. 830) (Prodej Obrazy).
