orig. 1967 1st Oregon Ducks OSU Beavers Game at AUTZEN STADIUM *Football Ticket*

Description: >Offered here for your consideration is an old and original 1967 University of OREGON DUCKS vs. Oregon State University FULL/UNUSED football ticket!! Please see both photos, as they are an important part of my description. This was a "Homecoming Game" for the Oregon Ducks, and their final home game #5 of the season in their newly-built Autzen Stadium. This game between the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers was played on Saturday, Nov. 18, 1967 here in Eugene, Oregon. This high-grade and historic ticket, designated for faculty members only, measures approximately 5 1/4" x 2 1/8" and features a colorful and high-gloss front. Classic football-shaped motif, with the brand new Autzen Stadium pictured inside the football! A stadium seating schematic is present on the ticket's reverse, along with a Leo Harris facsimile signature; he was the Director of Athletics at Oregon. There's no seat designation present on the ticket, as faculty probably had a special designated area in the new stadium. <>THIS WAS THE VERY FIRST "CIVIL WAR" FOOTBALL GAME PLAYED AT AUTZEN STADIUM!!! <>History: the Oregon Ducks played on real grass during this 1967 season, and again the following year before transitioning to AstroTurf. The Ducks played in the old AAWU...the Athletic Association of Western Universities. Jerry Frei was in his very first season as head coach. The Ducks finished a disappointing 2-8. However, they gave the #8 Oregon State "Giant Killers" team all they could handle but eventually lost by a score of 14-10. <>Condition: this rare full ticket ticket is in very *Fine Shape* overall, showing barely any age/handling faults...nice!!! There are no creases present! The ticket's perforation on right side remains untorn and fully intact! Finding even a ticket stub for this 1st Civil War game would be difficult; here's a great opportunity to claim a full/unused ticket!!
