The back of the barometer is vented to allow the instrument to read the air's humidity. It weighs 1.65 lbs., the barometer was made in Western Germany. That would have happened sometime between 1949 and 1990. The case is 12 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" at its widest and 1 7/8" thick.
