This auction is for one fully restored set of OHM F loudspeaker driver / element in great working and physical condition. [The buyer can also opt into buying the bottom cabinets and top grills if needed at additional expense.] Currently I have 3 units available - see the pictures. NEW ALTEC LANSING 6 Ohm VOICE COILS New voice coil tinsel’s ( i.e. connecting leads ) New titanium top structures New upper spiders New felt / paper bottom trim New lower foam surrounds New inner dampening clay where needed New inner dampening foam. New RTV Silicon glue where needed. New fuses New speaker connectors where needed Completely tested and are now in fabulous physical shape and superb working order. These speakers both looks great and sound fabulous. Because this speaker has been completely rebuilt it will now be problem free for years and years to come. These completely rebuilt Ohm F speakers should last you 12-15 years before needing their next routine maintenance. You are NOT BUYING SOMEONE ELSES OLD USED OHM F SPEAKERS ! These speakers have been completely rebuilt. They are as close to new as I can possibly make them. Yes, I WILL SHIP OVERSEAS ! NO PROBLEM. Suggested amplifiers: Aragon 4004 or 4004 MK II 200 watts RMS per channel both channels driven at 8 Ohms 400 watts at 4 ohms 800 watts at 2 ohms 1600 watts at 1 ohm 3200 watts at 1/2 ohm - actually 2000 watts per channel as that is all you can get from the wall socket at any one time. Suggested accessories ( you actually need one or the other to preserve the integrity of these speakers over the long term ). Subsonic rumble filter ( as cheap as $45 ) Or 2 way crossover with a Servo controlled subwoofer I have all these items in stock. The Original price of OHM F's in 1975 started out at $800 per pair and ended at $4500 per pair before they were taken off the market in about 1984. These have NOT been made for many years and now OHM ACOUSTICS no longer makes or services them. Thus you are left to people like me and better yet Dale Harder of HHR EXOTIC SPEAKERS to help you. I am here for you and so is he. Dale is a master at his craft and has invested thousands of dollars and thousands of man hours to keep these speakers alive, service them, and actually build new ones from scratch. I do what I can. Many of them are priced out of the range of most consumers. Fortunately, many are not, and can be had for the same price as more ordinary designs. You will not find them at mass market retailers. A single pulse travels down the cone, reproducing the entire audio range with one driver.The line of Ohm Walsh speakers use a unique driver designed by Lincoln Walsh. Lincoln Walsh was a brilliant engineer who was part of the engineering team that developed radar during World War II. He later designed audio amplifiers, and his final project was a unique, one-way speaker with one driver. It was a large cone that faced down into a sealed, airtight enclosure. Rather than move back-and-forth as conventional speakers do, the cone rippled and created sound using a principle known as “transmission line”. The new speaker created a single, perfectly rendered sound wave of remarkable clarity. A new company, Ohm Acoustics, was formed to develop and market Walsh’s new speaker design. From left to right- Ohm Walsh 2, Ohm F, Ohm ALincoln Walsh died before his speaker was released to the public. After developing the Ohm A prototype, in 1973 Ohm introduced the Ohm F speaker to critical acclaim. The Ohm F could reproduce audio signals more accurately than any other speaker, and had a truly spectacular sound. (Thirty years later, the Ohm F still sounds better than many of today’s most expensive, most exotic speaker designs.) Unfortunately, the Ohm F was also a very expensive. All the way back in 1982 they cost $4,000 per pair ! A pair of Ohm F speakers. Note exposed Walsh driver on the left speaker. One cone reproduces the entire audio range seamlessly. Very rare in this condition. Come get them before someone else does. I can not say enough good things about these speakers. Seriously.
