Description: Here is an old, black & white photo of a group of students posing outside of a one room schoolhouse. Looks to be a rural setting, with only trees in the background and off to one side is a short wooden fence. There is one teacher, and the ages of the students range from young to several that look to be teenagers. The schoolhouse is stucco with a stone foundation, and stone steps leading up to a double or wide door that has a transom window over it. There is a window on each side of the door and 3 windows down the one side of the building, the windows all have shutters on them. Unfortunately, there are no names written on the photo identifying any of the students or teacher and no date or place written on it. The cardboard boarder has been cut off, so I think this was a cabinet card photo, but with the borders cut off there is no photographer's name on the photo. The only thing I know about this is that it was found in Berks County, Pennsylvania, but that doesn't prove that it was taken there. The photo is clear but does have some marks on it. The cardboard borders have been cut off, maybe to fit into a frame at one time, so there are rough edges, with some flaking. Still a neat old photo of days gone by. Postage will be 4.70 to the U. S.
