Featuring a wonderful, slightly primitive in design equestrian horse in halter, this type of hooked hand craft is called stumpwork - done on very fine black rayon fabric with one hand turned edge. Condition is very nice with no loose wool, no discoloration, smells, tears, holes, pulls, stains or damage - as you can see, there are faint areas on the black ground that are starting to pull from age - one on the front and one on the back point, as well as faint wear to the fabric on the front top - none of this detracts. Dating 1920s-1930s, pillow is so charming - can just see it gracing a leather couch or recliner in your Western, farm or country home - wonderful addition to any collection or display!
