Description: The Ghau - A portable Tibetan shrine Old Gau with red Buddha Amitabha The Tibetan Gau is an original, as worn by many Tibetans. It opens at the back. It has a small pane at the front in which you can see an old small puja statue: the red Buddha Amitabha with a golden face. The Gau has a beautiful top, finely crafted! All around you can see the Tibetan 8 LUCKY SYMBOLS, which are highlighted in three dimensions! The front surface is made of Tibetan silver. It's worn out. The back is made of tarnished, old copper. The beautiful Gau is in a Tibetan protective cover made of solid brocade fabric. This is hand sewn. The gau is tied with a string. I didn't open the Gau because I wanted to leave it in its original condition. I have photographed a similar Gau that I once opened below. Inside there are fabrics printed with mantras, perhaps Tibetan dried medicinal herbs and the small statue. The Tibetan bag can be hung around the shoulder, the "strap" has a total length of approx. 100cm.
