Ornate Silver (typical of British nursing "badges") & Goldtone metal engraved with initials MP and year 1928. Note old-style hinged pin attachment. In 1860 Florence Nightingale established the first professional training school for nurses, the Nightingale Training School, at St Thomas' Hospital.
