Description: This is a NEVER USED Sargent Easy Spring Surface mounted Lock. My pictures don't do it justice, I always have a problem photographing Black shiny items. It is marked on one side "SARGENT EASY SPRING" the other side is marked "PATENTED SEP 241883 JAN 26 1888" I don't have the screws for it. The lock seems to be able to be mounted from either side. I say this because the screw holes are countersunk on both sides. The Latch may be able to be turned around if the lock is taken part. It comes wit its original surface mounted striker plate. Which can be mounted either left or right. It also comes wit its original Eschaton Plate. It also has its 2 Original Folding Keys that are marked "SARGENT" both keys work fine. It is much better in person than the pictures show. I acquires this lock from an old hardware store about 50 years ago and never got a situation to use it. As always I offer a full refund for any reason. Just send back in the same condition as received. Below are all the measurements:1. The Lock is 7" long X 4 3/4" at the widest point, the Body is 4 3/8", It is 1" thick2. The Striker plate is 4 3/4" long and about 1 1/4" X 1 1/8" Thick3. The Eschaton Plate is 2 1/4" high X 1 3/8" wide4.
