Description: This is an NOS poster created by John Jordal, Electro-Motive last styling artist, in 1996 to celebrate the Conrails's purchase of their SD80MAC locomotives. John was a big Corvette guy so of course a Corvette eventually had to enter into one of his paintings. When I first met John, he was working in EMD's Engineering Department. I was working in EMD's Service Department Training Center and we needed a cutaway poster for teaching turbocharger theory. He created that poster probably in the mid-1980's. A few years later, we reversed positions with John moving to the Service Department and I moving to Engineering. We continued our relationship with John and I working together to create a series of coffee mugs using his artwork. We did make a very limited run of coffee mug from this painting. Poster is on high grade paper and measures 16" x 20". Painting is named "Blue Horizons". Poster and COA are both signed by John. If interested, I do own the original painting that was framed and matted by John. It takes John a couple weeks to make one of his paintings as he ensures that every dimension of a locomotive is absolutely correct.
