Description: Vintage ~1950s Noritake "RC 1268" Rose China ~9" ROUND SERVING BOWL, Porcelain, Made in Japan. White, Light Green Semi-Matte Band, Pink Roses, Gold-Tone Trim. Dimensions: 8 3/4" Diameter x ~5" High with Lid.VERY GOOD, NEAR-MINT Condition. A couple very small cosmetic glazed-in manufacturing marks, not affecting anything. NO chips, cracks, crazing, scuffs, or dust. No utensil marks noted. No noticeable wear noted on the gold-tone trim. Photos are of the actual bowl being offered. The R.C. back stamp on this Noritake Dinnerware goes as far back as 1933. It stands for Royal Crockery, a brand created for the India and Southeast Asian market, and registered in India. Used for the first time in 1933 and through approx. 1946. Although the RC mark was reused after WWII, it was called "Rose China", in conjunction with "Made in Japan". Please Note: Manufacturing anomalies, such as spots, dimples, and the occasional speck of dust, are inherent in the manufacture of fine china, ironstone, and porcelain. This can usually be identified with the anomaly being glazed over during manufacture.
