Noblet T40 Trumpet (Courtois-built Leblanc Stencil) 1950s

Description: Noblet T40 Bb Intermediate Trumpet, 1950s Built by Courtois, stenciled for LeblancPlease read the entire description, and the AUCTION TERMS below, BEFORE bidding! Greetings! I offer this B-flat trumpet marked "Noblet". I believe this is the T40 Model which was built by Courtois and stencilled as Noblet for G. Leblanc Corp. Serial number 6992. "M" on valve block indicates Medium Bore, which measures as .445" on my dial caliper. As far I can determine it dates to the 1950s, or possibly 1960s. Construction is yellow brass with nickel trim, including an attractive bell kranz, with lacquer finish. CONDITION: Very good overall. The lacquer is about 97%, with minor spotty losses her and there. There may be a touch of red-rot in the tuning slide. Some slight flaking/wear of the nickel plating on the pistons; however they are quite tight with good action and minimal blow-by. There are small dings scattered here and there, and an inexpert dent repair to the bell flare. The instrument is sold AS-IS with no warranties. See pictures. WYSIWYG. PLAYING QUALITIES: It plays just fine and would be a good student or step-up horn. I'd have no issue with taking it on one of my gigs.
