Description: A beautiful 1989 Noble and Cooley Maple SS (solid shell) 14x7 snare drum. I purchased this snare from the original owner, who bought it new from Forks Drum Closet here in Nashville. This is a wonderful instrument with a warm and nuanced character and tone. While dampening is of course necessary at times, especially in the studio, this snare begs to be played unencumbered. The overtones it produces are really quite pleasing. This drum is 35 years old and has some minor cosmetic issues to note. There are hairline marks on the piano back finish from many years of handling and some tarnishing on the brass hardware. Please see the photos. Honestly I find the tarnish adds character.
