Description: The 1997 Miller 200 at the Milwaukee Mile was 22-year-old Greg Moore's first PPG CART World Series victory, becoming the youngest driver ever to win a CART event. Driving for the Players/Forsythe Racing Team, Moore made history as the first Firestone-shod car to win on an oval track in the 1997 season. Fuel strategy played a crucial role, allowing Moore to hold off a late challenge from Michael Andretti, who had surged from 14th to second place but lost ground due to pit stops. Defending champion Jimmy Vasser finished third, boosting his points total and positioning him fifth in the championship standings.
