This cell viability counter uses bright field imaging to check the cell count, concentration, diameter, and % of viable cells automatically. For greater accuracy, the Cellometer uses pattern recognition software to id and count individual cells within a cluster. The Auto 1000 also has an adjustable slider for roundness can be adjusted for irregularly shaped cells such as RD cells, activated T-cells, and skin cancer cells. This cell counter analyzes and generates a histogram based on cell diameter, with minimum and maximum sizes set by users to exclude items like debris or to count a specific cell in a sample.
