Even though the ball has never been used at the bowling lanes, it has some light cosmetic marks and scratches due to being handled, moved and placed on hard surfaces. The exterior is made of polyester which is susceptible to scratching. It can be polished however, at the bowling lanes. The minute cosmetic blemishes will not affect the bowling balls functionality nor will they prevent it from executing it's primary objectives. It is designed to be a "back-up" ball and not to be used as one's primary bowling ball. I would prefer to put it in the man-cave where it deserves to be, but that's just me...
