Description: Very scarce and early New York issue printed by William Weyman with blank backs. The New York Arms can be seen on the front with “Tis Death to counterfeit this Bill" below. Previous issues stated “Its Death to counterfeit this Bill”, this issue replaced “Its” with “Tis”. Very nice eye appeal despite being backed. Strong signatures and bold ink remain, these notes are usually seen tattered. Of the 2,500 originally printed, only 9 are known to survive today. Signers: Robert G.
