Will accept up to 10-12 gauge or larger wire. This unique terminal also can be used with dual banana plugs (dual plug not included). No soldering required. To install, you simply remove the original two screws and pull off the old speaker terminal plate, snip off the two original wires, pull back a little of the plastic sheathing on the end of the red and black wires, and then wind it around the respective new terminal spades; or, you can also quickly solder (recommended) it in place for a more secure connection if you prefer. Use the original two screws to tighten the new terminal plate down and compress the air-tight gasket - the screw holes will match up perfectly to the existing ones.
