Description: Description The OCD is a very open sounding overdrive/distortion circuit that is quite different from a typical overdrive in that it uses a mosfet for clipping and the clipping is connected to the circuit's voltage reference (vref) rather than ground. The result is a more interactive sound when picked softly or hard compared to a traditional diode-to-ground clipping overdrive. The OCD offers touch sensitivity, nuance and creates complex harmonics while still retaining the inherent tone of the amp and guitar you are playing. Because of its enormous output, the OCD is a great pedal to use as an overdrive in front of an amp or through a master volume amp to drive it much harder than other ODs, but it also excels at creating its own distortion with the complex harmonic array of a class A amp.
