Description: For sale is a wonderful New England impressionist oil on canvas painting in a sweet gold gilded gallery picture frame. While the painting is not signed (that we can see) it does come with some exceptional provenance having been in the collection of David and Cynthia Kim; Greenwich, Connecticut. David and Cynthia Kim cofounded the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, a nonprofit whose stated mission is to “provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.” Thence by estate auction sale entering the collection of the highly regarded collector and Philanthropist Jordan Saunders (Upper East Side, New York City) Sotheby's (NYC) and Stair Galleries (Hudson NY) handled the Jordan Saunders estate. Acquired at sale of the Jordan Saunders Estate The painting is of exceptional quality. It features a charming New England coastal scene of a tranquil harbor with sailboats moored in the waters. The shoreline dotted with classic New England Cape Cod style homes with tall bushy trees in the background. Perhaps in or around the Cape Ann Area. The painting with gorgeous thick brushstrokes of oil paint with beautiful coloration throughout. The adorable pair of white swans cruising along the harbor add a wonderful visual appeal to the painting. A classic New England inner harbor scene painting. We just wish we knew what artist created this wonderful gem. The painting is in overall excellent condition. The frame is also in a very fine condition. Some age, appropriate bumps and surface scratches but considered in very fine condition for a gallery picture frame. Measurements: Framed - 30 3/4" x 42 1/2" Canvas - 24" x 36"
