Description: Offered today is an opportunity to acquire a rare Apollo 11 Program Office Splashdown Party menu, signed photo of crew given to attendees and first day issue stamps from the moon landing! As an added treat, this lot also comes with the piece of paper that accompanied the tickets with instructions for the event and a request not to ask for autographs from the crew, how fun is that?! The event was held a little more than a month after the successful landing on September 9th, 1969 at the Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC. Autograph signatures from all 3 astronauts, Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Buzz Aldrin are very crisp with next to no fading. Alas, from what Ive researched, these are autopen signatures but rare in their own right. Condition is as seen in the photos. Light age wear to the menu with some minor darkening from contact with other papers, mainly on the front side. Stamp is near mint. The signed photo is also in great shape again with some very minor age wear to the edges. Let me know if you need additional pictures.
