Wine list from the Hotel Dreyfus, which was at 95 Matheson Street, downtown Providence.Back of the wine list features an ad for The Famous Old Narragansett Banquet Ale. Narragansett Brewery pitched it as rich, creamy, and mellow. What's not to love! And in the 1930s, it was only 10 cents on draft!Hotel dinner menu for November 20, 1937 included as well. Stamp promoting "Crepes Suzette served with above dinners". This French restaurant was established in 1892. Another stamp promotes: Every night dancing, No cover charge, Cafe Rouge floor show.The gorgeous Hotel Dreyfus building, built in the 1890s still stands. It was redeveloped into live/work space for artists by AS220. It was a successful hotel with a popular cafe. It was completely remodeled in 1917 to accommodate theatre district patrons. Built 1890s.
