Description: Myler Western Dee D Ring MB 32-3 Level 2 Mullen Triple Barrel Bit 5.5 inch Wide Myler Western Dee D Ring MB 32-3 Level 2 Mullen Triple Barrel Bit 5.5 inch Wide Click images to enlarge Description This is a well maintained pre owned Level 2 Myler Toklat stainless steel 3 inch diameter Western "D" Dee ring with a sweet iron MB 32-3 mullen triple barrel mouthpiece that measures 5-1/2 inches wide with 7/16 inch diameter bars shaped in a pronounced curve to promote comfortable swallowing and inlaid copper on the bars to encourage salivation. The Western Dee without Hooks is a stainless steel ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece. This traditional cheek style keeps the mouthpiece from draping on the tongue, providing a more direct signal than the loose ring. The straight side of ring will not pull through the mouth and does not pinch. The MB 32-3 is an innovative Myler alternative to the traditional mullen. It has three barrels which turn the mouthpiece from the typical solid bar of a mullen into a flexible bar which allows the horse to elevate his tongue and swallow more easily. When the reins are engaged, the mouthpiece becomes a solid bar like a traditional mullen, but with an exaggerated curve. This curved bar rotates across the bars and lips down on to the tongue, applying pressure across the entire surface of the tongue. The flexibility of the MB 32-3 makes it very forgiving and comforting when relaxed, but offers the rider control when engaged. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. Because the tongue pressure applied by the MB 32-3 is evenly distributed across the entire tongue, this mouthpiece is considered "stronger" than the MB 04. However, its flexibility makes it a forgiving mouthpiece that works well for horses who have suffered mouth trauma or damage, or horses that tend to go behind the bit.
