Excellent. According to Myler, "A mild bit, the Myler Ported Barrel mouthpiece works well with the intermediate and finished horse. The independent side movement allows the rider to isolate one side and pick up a shoulder. It is a good bit for a stiff horse with little bend, or a horse which gets behind the bridle." The rings have hooks (slots) for fixed attachment of the reins. This provides leverage action, allowing the rider to use less pressure than a traditional bit and are "very encouraging for horse to relax at poll". "Mylers" and "Toklat" are marked on the inside of the rings. This bit is used but in excellent condition. It has marks from normal use, but nothing that should effect its performance in any way. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being new, mint condition, I would give this bit a 9. A very nice quality bit!
