Boy, how times have changed with payouts. I am unable to determine the date this Matchbook was in circulation but given the low payout I'm surmising it might have been the 1950s or 1960s. The Matchbook is in very good, but not perfect, condition. The covers have good color, it contains all 20 matches, and the strike is unstruck. The covers, which may have sported a rich white coloring at one time, are cream-colored; the cover opening left-hand and bottom edges have some light blemishes, the strike has some wear at the staples (but has not been stuck); there is some wear at the top at the bridge between the front and back cover; the back side has some blemishes at the bottom right-hand edge.
