Description: Up for auction is an aluminum “Moto Guzzi” brand name plaque. They firstly were introduced in the early 1970’s, when it was used by the Moto Guzzi factory to brand spare parts and accessories for their various motorcycle models. For instance, this plaque was mostly used by the Guzzi factory on the rear of buddy-seats, the rear of solo (police) saddles, on the dashboard, on crashguards of certain models, tourpacks, and so on. These plaques were used well into the 1980’s, for instance on the Le Mans 1000 or Le Mans V. These plaques come straight from the Guzzi factory, we took recently a batch of obsolete spare parts over from them, amongst them where these plaques. They are not available anymore through dealers etc. The factory has stopped stocking these plaques over 15 years ago! This is one of your last chances to get one. Use these plaques to restore your older Guzzi V-twin or Guzzi single, or use them to decorate your bike, as they are made of aluminum and not cheap plastic. They definitely look terrific! These tags would look great in any workshop or on any windscreen or fairing, sidebags or even toolboxes, fridges, garage doors or how about as a door-bell nametag… Guzzi restorers also use these plaques, to replace the damaged name tags on the rear of the saddles and seats of the older single cylinder motorcycles, as the brand name plaques of the original saddle brands are extremely difficult to find. The plaque has a size of 80 mm x 16 mm (3.15” x 0.63”) and is made of aluminum. The finish is excellent. Left and right on the plaque little holes are present, so it is easy to apply the plaque with screws or rivets. A great item for any Guzzi V-twin owner, like the V7 Sport, the T3 or the California, but also useful if you have an Airone, a Galletto or a (Nuovo) Falcone!!!!
