In 2006 the Moto Guzzi factory celebrated its 85th year of existence, being the oldest European motorcycle manufacturer that produced motorcycles continuously since its start in 1921. This special Motociclismo issue was made in collaboration with the Guzzi factory itself. The special edition has no less then 48 colorful pages, absolutely crammed with text but mostly illustrations! Most of these illustrations have never been published before and came from Motociclismo’s own archives. This makes it very refreshing and very interesting to browse through it. All major production and racing models since 1921 are described and put in their historical context, including the very first Guzzi-Parodi 4 OHV OHC prototype (from 1919) all the way through the newest model, the Norge from 2006. the magazine takes you through a trip in time, covering 85 years of unequalled motorcycle history. Models like the famous 500cc V 8-cylinder Grand Prix racer and the V700 all receive proper attention in the magazine. The text is in Italian, but don’t let that put you off as the illustrations more then make up for the lack of English text. It is not hard to figure out anyway, as most text is made up as captions for the many, many unique illustrations. The special edition is not available anymore, this is a rare chance to obtain one!
