Description: We are pleased to offer this beautiful, antique, Moser Cire Royo Art Glass Vessel featuring whimsical birds and flowers décor, signed Royo, made by Moser for Spanish Market. Most beautiful blown art glass pitcher/cruet in honey amber color with enameled florals and birds which are surrounded in metallic gold. Exquisite and elaborate enamel painted decoration with Birds/Floral Motif. THIS GLASS WAS PRODUCED BY MOSER AUSTRIA AND HAND BLOWN, HAND ENAMELED FEATURING THE CLASSIC WORK OF SPANISH ARTIST JOSE CIRE ROYO: DESIGN OF BIRDS AND FLOWERS. PIECE IS REFERRED TO AS SIMPLY MOSER ROYO. CIRCA 1920. This Spanish design is incredibly detailed: enameled setting with birds and florals and golden decoration all around the piece. The colors are very bold, reds, blues, greens, golds and white and just about everything is outlined with gold. This is really a beautiful piece of art that would be a great addition to any art glass collection. It is hand signed by the artist Jose Cire Royo. The Signature is near the handle of the vessel. Sticker still attached it reads: ”Hand Painted. Made in Spain”. Beautiful Piece. Moser glass is made by a Bohemian (Czechoslovakian) glasshouse founded by Ludwig Moser in 1857. Art Nouveau-type glassware and iridescent glassware were made. The most famous Moser glass is decorated with heavy enameling in gold and bright colors. It is now known that ROYO was the owner of the glass works and he had several other people working for him like Cirera. The decoration is done with HOT Enamel, a process invented in the 1920's Approximate measurements: This gorgeous piece is approx. 8" in total height, 1 1/2" at opening, including spout and 3 1/4" at base diameter. Condition: excellent near mint condition with small production imperfections but nothing that will detract from the beauty of the piece. Imperfections like bubbles & irregularities due to it being hand made. As with any handcraft, minor imperfections are part of the charm. No chips or cracks.
