As a stereo volume pedal, it would be great with any stereo guitar, lap-steel, pedal-steel, or even a keyboard. Of course, can be used with a mono signal as well. Variable volume with very smooth performance. Because it works on a photoelectric principle where pedal position determines the strength of the signal (and by doing so, the volume), there are no potentiometers, so no crackling noises. It is a very clever, durable, and reliable approach. The pedal stays where it is set; it does not "spring back". You wouldn't want that with this type of pedal. I have tested the pedal to make sure both channels work, and looked inside to make sure that both photoelectric diodes light up and aim light directly at their sensors. Pedal runs on a 9V battery (not included), or an A/C converter. Note that the plug for the power looks more like a micro plug, not the usual pin-type connection. Thanks for looking!
