Being Montblanc's flagship model, the 149 is easily recognizable by it's large, cigar-shaped body and the impressive #9 sized nib attached to it. A perfect fit for those with larger hands or even those who just want a bigger pen, the Montblanc No. 149 truly is a "Masterpiece" of German design. This pen has been serviced by our pen repair team. The nib unit has been sealed using Montblanc "Bubble Gum" sealant to prevent leaks and the piston unit has been lubricated to unsure proper filling action. Serviced pens come with a 90-Day Warranty against any workmanship defects. This pen features a two-tone 18K Gold fine nib. Germany and serial number on the cap band. Brass piston knob threads. The 18K two-tone gold nib was introduced in spring 1990 and was priced at a 17% premium to the 14K nib it replaced. The two-tone nib was produced through 1993 before being replaced with a tri-color nib in 1994.
